Summer Update
So I know I haven’t been very regular in my posting and for that I apologize. I’m not online much and when I am, I don’t get much time to post anything. So here is an update on my summer.
I started at Capri’s last night. I realized as I was getting ready that I threw out my old work shoes, so I had to wear my Pumas to work in. Not a smart idea. They aren’t very slip resistant. No falls fortunately, but that’s only because I was very careful. I also realized that I threw out two aprons last week. The last time I left Capri’s, I had no intentions of going back, but there I was. It didn’t take long before I remembered why I didn’t want to work there anymore, but hey, work is work and I needed the money. I think I’m going to try to work at Ingles this summer as well. I’m going back to meet with the store manager again on Friday, so hopefully all will go well with that.
I’m having a lot more trouble with the worship team than usual. Before I left, I enjoyed it and had fun, but now I find myself dreading going to practice and just getting frustrated during our practices. I’m hoping that things will get better, but who knows. Amanda is going to General Conference with her parents, which means that I get the chance to lead worship next Sunday. Exciting and terrifying. I’m excited that I finally get to have this opportunity, but I’m also terrified because I’ve never done it before. I don’t even know where to start when choosing the songs and what not. I’m also a little worried because I’m wanting to change up the team for when I lead, and I’m not sure how that will go down with some people. I guess we’ll just have to see.
I didn’t really do anything field ministry wise this week. Richard and his family went on vacation this past week, so we didn’t get to meet on Wednesday, but I’m sure that he’ll have plenty for me to do this week.
